What to Expect

As a Priority Program Member, here are some of the Key Milestones in the McGuire Hall sales process.

Phase 1:

• Select Apartment or Forfeit Your Number – At your sales appointment you will select an apartment and start the application process by signing a temporary hold form. If you decide not to pursue a McGuire Hall apartment you will forfeit your priority number. Decisions and 10% deposits must be made within 3 business days of your appointment. Deposits can be paid by check.  Credit cards are not accepted.
• Make your reservation deposit. The deposit is equal to 10% of the Entrance Fee for your apartment. 

*If you change your mind about moving for any other reason, 10% of your reservation deposit is non-refundable. 

• Complete Self Health Report and Personal Financial Information Form - Within 5 business days of reserving your apartment you will:
  • Complete a preliminary Self Health Report
  • Complete a preliminary Financial Qualification form
  • Complete escrow forms
  • Schedule and complete an appointment for a cognitive wellness review.

Please bring your completed Self Health Report to your cognitive wellness review appointment. If/ when all assessments are approved, you will be required to sign a contract and designate a beneficiary for the amount of your deposit.

Closer to your move in, there will be another review of your medical, cognitive and financial status.

Phase 2:

• Select Options and Upgrades – We will invite you in for a meeting to choose your preferred finishes and color palette. You will have the opportunity to select flooring, countertops, cabinetry, and lighting. There are standard options at no additional cost. There will also be selected upgraded finishes, appliances or fixtures available at an additional cost. 

Phase 3:

• Notice of Projected Move-in Date – When Lasell Village is close to receiving our Certificate of Occupancy, we will inform you we are ready to proceed with the pre-move-in process and schedule a move-in date. The move in dates will be staggered through a period of time and subject to change.

• Once you receive your projected move in date submit the following (within 30 days)
  • Current Medical Profile and 1 Year Medical Records
  • Current Financial Forms
  • Schedule and Complete a Cognitive Wellness Review
  • Sign and review additional residency documents

• Payment of Remaining Entrance Fee Balance- Two weeks before you move in you will pay the remaining 90% of your Entrance Fee via check or wire transfer.

• Move In Day – Lasell Village’s team will work with you to help make your move successful. We have a warm and wonderful resident-run Welcoming Committee who will reach out to you in advance to introduce themselves and assign you a resident “buddy”.  This will help you find your way in your first days in your new community.  We are confident you will easily and quickly find yourself informed and engaged in life at Lasell.
